My artwork and stuff

  1. Did you choose this class or did someone else add it to your schedule? Overall, are you happy you finished this class and please with the work you made?
  2. I had this class added to my schedule. I would say I'm pretty happy that I finished this class because this class taught me some computer skills that come in pretty handy. I'm pleased with most of my work since I had to rush in most of the work I had to do.
  3. What was/were your favorite project(s)? Why?
Charley Harper and kaleidoscope, these projects gave a challenge but I was able to explore into photo shop and finish it nicely.
  4. What was/were your least favorite project(s)? Why?
Vista print because, the project was pretty boring to work on.
  5. How was your participation in this class every day? Could there be any improvements? If so, what would you do differently? If you participated well, what were the good things you did every day?
I think my participation was good but I would listen more rather than try to help always. I helped people who couldn't do some things and I followed directions by reading them.
  6. If you were to describe this class to a family member or friend, what would you tell them about it?
I would say a class in which you make art in Photo Shop.
  7. Assess Ms. Sand’s teaching. Describe how you felt about daily instructions, the classroom environment, how discipline was handled in class, and if projects were assigned at a good pace (not too fast or too slow).
I think that she instructed a lot which is good, but not always was she able to help people in need since there are so many students.
  8. How has this class changed you? How has it helped you with learning more art and technology that you can use in the future?
This helped learn how to select more than one thing at once, learn different forms of art, try using Photo Shop, and know some art vocabulary.
  9. Do you have any other suggestions for this class for when it is taught again next year?
  10. To have videos ready for students to learn by and written instructions.

The Nametag Project
The pictures in my project represent different things. The ice cream represents as my favorite thing to eat next to a bunch of other food, the Mario represents my interest in drawing since a young age. The musical notes represent that I like to sing and also listen to music and dance.
I learned to use the text tool and how to add shapes to your Photoshop project.
I would say I'm not really pleased with the project, in the end I kind of rushed through to get it done in time and I'm not sure if I like the color scheme going on in the project but I love the ice cream heart :)

OpArt Project
I traced my hand on photo shop and made a line pattern background. To add the effect of the hand being 3 dimensional, I added shadow to the hand.
This taught me how to make layers look 3 dimensional with the shadow effect.
I'm pleased with the project because it sort of looks like the hand is popping out. I would decrease the spread of the shadow though.
Picture
Princeton Spirit Project
This is a design for a planner cover. The viking is meant to pop out and this was done in a short time.
I learned how to use the glow effect on pictures more and I also learned how to make picture pop out or disappear into the background.
I would say I'm pleased with the project considering how much time I got it done in.

Abstract Expressionism
I worked on jacksonpollock.org and tried my best to make a good design but if you stay too long too little in one spot, accidently click on the mouse, then you are in trouble. I kept starting over more than 10 times but finally I got it. I gave the colors some texture and I gave it some shadows and gave it the bevel and emboss effect. I'm pretty pleased with the project but the copy and paste trick leaves white outline so I couldn't add many effects. I learned how to add textures in photo shop and how the simplest of art can have so much meaning.

Kaleidoscope Project
I read my horoscope and took inspiration from it. My triangle design is related to moving to a new city. I used some images from the internet to give the city landscape and the unique background for my triangle. Somehow, this horoscope is kind of coming true?
I learned how to use shadows and how to crop pictures/ use the eraser tool.
I would say I'm very pleased with the hexagon and the project.

Weaving Project
I made two square designs one was a flower pattern that went with a mint ice cream and nature theme while the other square had a simple pattern with squares. The squares were merged together into a checkerboard type pattern and the squares with the simple pattern had shadows on top of it while the squares with the flower had no effects.
I learned how to create seperate squares with effects on them by using the rectangle marquee tool.
I would say I'm pleased with the project and I like how the colors blend.

 Julian Beever Project
This is my Julian Beever project showing my school hallway turned into a wave with Nemo and Bruce coming down to the hallway while Bruce is chasing Nemo.
I learned how to use the magic erasers and filters on layers in Photoshop.
I very pleased with how Bruce looks and a little bit Nemo and the water but I wouldn't say I'm pleased with the island too much.

Vistaprint T- Shirt
In this project, I picked 2 of my artworks which I like and I added them on t- shirts on vistaprint.com. Then, I picked a picture of a random room and used to effect to make it seem the t- shirt was in the room.
I am pretty satisfied with this project because the t shirts seem to sort of seem as they are on the bed.
Picture
Cubism Project
In this project, I picked out 3 pictures with 2 different viewpoints and merged them together. Then, I use the polygonal tool to create 10 shapes for each viewpoint picture. Finally, I combined the 2 viewpoint picture and their shapes to make this.
I am satisfied with my work. The picture is sort of confusing to look at but you can tell which is what in the picture. I learned how to use the polygonal tool in Photo shop. I also learned how to make art by connecting different perspectives.

Charley Harper Project
I picked an image from the internet which was a white tiger with blue eyes. I thought it was very majestic. The image was imitated with simple shapes which were mostly circles that were transformed into curvy shapes. Later, the animal had shadows and other effects added to it to make it look more real and make it pop out as if its 3 dimensional.

The CHARLEY HARPER project was very interesting. At first, I was wondering how would I make these weird looking shapes to imitate an animal. In the project, I learned how WARP SHAPES and make it exactly like the picture by turning down the opacity of the shape. After using different shapes to make the animal and background, I used different LAYER STYLES to add effects to the different shapes which actually helped make the project look better. The ABSTRACT project was pretty hard because I merged the layers and kept having to use the erase tools to get the shapes back and I also merged the layers wrong. This project helped me have more knowledge of photo shop.
I am very pleased with the project and underneath there are 3 pictures because one time I merged the layers and the tiger seemed really cool so I kept it and also the original picture is there.

Practice Pop Art Project
In this project, I basically has 3 pictures of what I like, red roses, music, and ice cream. These pictures were recolored and put into 9 squares which were evenly measured and a square to give it an effect. I would say I'm pleased with the project.

Minion Pop Art
This project took me so long but also I felt as if I would need more time to give each minion an outfit. I am pretty pleased with the purple and the blue minion's outfit. This project was a little tricky with the effort needed to try to outline the part of the picture you want to add a patterned background to. Since I didn't have enough time for 4 minions, I gave each minion different colors to give it a cool effect. I learned how to use the marquee tools in photoshop to crop out another picture by selecting a part of a picture.
